DREAM University comes to your town! -

Dream University has left its mark on Washington D.C. and the nation as a whole. Throughout July we had over 2,000 students attend classes, as well as educators from all over the country become Dream University faculty. It is important to realize the significance of our efforts and to realize the effect that it has had on both our movement and the legislation. Undocumented students from around the country have seen the doors to higher education opened wide because "if they deny us an education we will build our own schools." Legislators have seen the urgency of the issue and have seen the necessity of passing the DREAM Act this year.

However, it is now time to move our efforts into our individual states. Senate recess is upon us and the senators and congressional members will be returning to their home states to hold town hall meetings during the recess.

Dream University, D.C. has tried its best to maintain a continuous presence in Washington D.C. and thus keep pressuring the Senate; it is now the duty of individual states to continue this pressure back home through the presence of Dream University at these town hall meetings throughout August. Dream University will open its doors again in September, when Senate returns from recess, with a series of events, once again to continue the pressure that has been built up to this point by Dream University, D.C. and all satellite campuses around the nation.

Our voice is strong, but we must be stronger and more unified than ever. We need to maintain this pressure and urgency alive for we are at a critical time in the movement and we cannot falter.
